The Théâtre Antique d’Orange, built under Augustus in the Iᵉʳ century BC, is an impressive symbol of Roman grandeur, with its 103-meter-long façade wall. After losing its original function in the 4th century, it was restored in the 19th century and once again used as a performance venue. This theater was used for theatrical performances, gladiator fights and other public events. Its imposing structure, with its semi-circular tiers and well-preserved stage, offers visitors an impressive vision of Roman architecture.
